Shamanism

Modern day shamanism is applied mysticism. Modern day shamanism differs from any other religion or spirituality for three reasons:
  • It does not require submission to a deity or a rigid moral doctrine
  • It involves science and uses modern terms and tools to understand the mind
  • It revolves around applicable methods
Modern day shamanism is closely related to semiotics, a branch of linguistics, but differs in the sense that it studies the active application of signs, symbols and meanings to foster specific and diverse effects.

It is, however, possible, through the application of practical shamanism, to control your own attitudes, emotions, beliefs and perceptions first, secondarily the actions of your surroundings through direct and indirect means of communication, and thirdly cosmos through knowledge of the metaphysical laws1)

It does not take enormeous amounts of study to acquire the theoretic knowledge or the practical skills, but to secure the knowledge against abuse no systematic instruction can be offered.
