The Era of Clinical Fertility

As I have explained in several previous posts, the movement of Pluto across the celestial sphere indicates a death-transformation process for the Zodiac sign it passes through. Several more complex observations relating to the aspect the dwarf planet can be made, the most important that the opposite sign to Pluto's transit will experience a bloom - the logic being that it is the point furthest removed from the presence of death.

In the previous transit, Pluto passing through Sagittarius, we saw a rapid, explosive growth in communication technologies. Everything relating to information technology was highlighted.
  • Internet beat the printed and visual media when comes to advertisement revenues.
  • Cell phones became the property of every man and woman and child, and developed into the smart phone.
  • Google became a verb, synonymous with Internet search.
  • In just eight years Facebook became a commercial giant.
  • Social networking sites took a permanent place in the social lives of the masses.
  • Time Magazine celebrated the power of Internet by selecting "You" the Person of the Year in 2006.
  • In 2011 the "Protester", highly inspired and coordinated by the web, was selected Time's Person of the Year.
As Jean-Jaques Servan-Schreiber accurately predicted already in the early 19080s the information revolution would become the mega-event to define the era, an infrastructural improvement more influential than the invention of the steam engine.

While having been under development for several decades, it was in the flourishing period indicated by Pluto transiting the opposite sign to Gemini, it all manifested. Gemini is, above all, the Zodiac sign of communication.

Going one step further back in time to test the assumption, we can see that the previous era, where Pluto transited Scorpio, gave rise to the popularization of another technology: The excercise machine, erected in gyms and finally also in private homes all over the Westernized world, enforcing a health regime and an aestheticism traditionally associated with Taurus - the opposite sign to Scorpio.

A New Bi-Polar Dynamic

We are already wise to how Pluto asserts its influence in this sign, exposing, attacking and sanctioning the abuse of power in all the major areas of authority: Government, business, church and policing.

The "absence" of Plutonic influence in Cancer isolationist cancer can also be seen politically, with growing nationalist, isolationism and protectionism worldwide.

These trends can be seen as counter-movements to the rampant globalism, the excess of power it affords the global mobile elite and the trampling of worker's rights locally due to the enormous distance to power in a world-wide hierarchical structure, and to the general impunity of such giants as BP, Monsanto, Blackwater and, for that matter, Google.

On the positive side the blossoming of Cancer also produces a new cold war dynamic between the entrenched poles of the West (NATO) and the Sino-Russian alliance that, to some degree, has taken Syria and Iran as their protectorates.

The new global dynamic may be better defined as a "lukewarm war" and a process in which the West and the East learn to cooperate in what business experts and geopolitical observers have already called a "marriage of convenience" between the main protagonists, USA and China.

In technical terms it is called assymmetric dependency. While it does further some significant problems of social oppression, financial exploitation and ecological disruption, it also produces a blueprint for peace in an age, where Homo Sapiens cannot afford a globalized military conflict.

Demographics, Procreation and Replication

If the rule about Pluto favoring the sign of its "absence" is to be trusted, what may be the overarching new technology to be launched during the current transit of Capricorn?

It is not evident to most people what is the main theme of this transit, and how it translates into a technological and social and cultural development with general ramifications and lifestyle changes that involve everybody.

The key to understanding the development initiated is the potentially catastrophic decrease in fertility.

Cancer governs fertility, maternity and motherhood. Politically, this era puts emphasis on women's rights, favoring feminism for as much as it does not impede with the overarching goal of Hera, who is the embodiment of the Cancer spirit - the jealous, zealous and sometimes vindictive mother, consort to Zeus and the protector of marriage as an institution.

The Cancer symbol is associated with Hera, who sent a crab to disturb Hercules while he fought the Lernean Hydra. It resembles the female reproductive organ, which is very appropriate, since Hera is the protector of marriage as an institution.
Culturally, the big problem of our age revolves around demographics, procreation and problems of replication. Population reduction of the Third World is on the agenda of the most populated nations, such as China, India and the Philippines, and a project sponsored and supported by large global power-brokers like the Bill and Melinda (Gates) Foundation.

Reversely, demographic transition is a source of great panic and hysteria in both Europe and America. Demographic projections do not favor white voter control of America past 2050, where Hispanics are set to take control of the continent. Europe will grow increasingly dependent on foreign workers.

Pollution, Clinical Fertility and New Eugenics

On top of this, fertility rates are dropping due to a combination of factors. It is speculated that plastic as a pollutant, lower testosterone levels in men in general due to more seditary work, is the reason for a catastrophic drop in sperm counts.

A study estimates that worldwide, between 1940 and 1990, the average number of sperm in a millimeter of male semen dropped more than 50%. The percentage of men with extremely low sperm count tripled in the past century.

The average 30 year old male today may have less than 25% of the sperm count of the average male born in  1925. Additionally, procreation is often postponed for the educated classes due to economic factors, reducing the quality of sperm and the fertility of the woman progressively with age.

This leads to a situation, where planned parenthood on all levels is becoming the main challenge of modern society and artificial insemination may become not only a leading industry but an important factor in the everyday lives of virtually all citizens.

The two figures that compose the stylized Cancer symbol resembles sperm cells.

With this fundamental problem in mind we begin to see a new phase in human evolution, where man becomes auto-selective, taking control of all the aspects of reproduction and introducting, by its own necessity and by the inevitable social dynamics of artificial insemination, a new form of eugenics.

This will trigger some predictable political conflicts. Most obvious are the battles between futurists (and transhumanists) and the equally crazed traditionalists (religious irrationalists), and on a secondary level between new feminists and supporters of rugged survivalist patriarchal values.

In essence, it will become a battle over which genetic traits will define the human race in the future - a profound existential discussion that will not lack any of the epic qualities of the past era of explosive distribution of communication technology.

Feminism, Geocentrism and Permaculture

To understand the premises of the debates, which may not necessarily surface in direct form, it is recommended to read Valerie Solanas' ultra-radical SCUM Manifesto, which does put the topic of coexistence and interaction between the genders on edge, but also provides some curious insights into the "gender war" and its ramifications, politically, and for the individual relationships.

A few of the problems pointed out by Solanas are actually valid and germane. It cannot be contested that the male proclivity for dominance through violence represents a direct threat to the existence of mankind through war, or that the vast majority of violent crimes are committed by men in the age of 16-26.

Only because of the codependency of the genders these statistics have never risen to become a source of major political conflict, while crime statistics far less egregious involving racial distribution are being routinely exploited to suggest harsh political measures and clamp-downs.

On a more peaceful note, the absence of Pluto - its removed position in Capricorn - furthers a peaceful dialogue. Relationship issues, couple's counselling and marriage advise may prove beneficial to many, and we may witness a restoration of social norms and values associated with marriage.

The Cancer Symbol also corresponds with the Earth symbol. Like with Libra, codependency and equilibrium between complementary forces is the essence of Cancer. The two parties may not see things the same way, but they acknowledge their fundamental similitude.
The violent confrontations will be about human and civil rights, about social rights and class war, as we are currently witnessing - a long trend that will not pass easily and may send societies spiralling into totalitarianism and de facto martial law.

When Pluto transited Sagittarius, we saw the Western world attacked and reciprocating with vast, dysproportional force and no regard to the truth, to international law or the lives of millions, who were wrecked by a virtual chain reaction of invasions.

In this era we witness the rise of a new absolutism, corporatism, the introduction of unmanned killer drones and long distance, remote controlled warfare - the pinnacle of dehumanization and the wrapping of the Western mind in what British historian Paul Johnson dubbed a "Zeus Complex".

Just as hope emerged from the very region previously maligned as a hotbed of terrorism, humanizing the faces of Persians and Arabs to the Western world - through a process catalyzed by communication technologies - hope in the current era will rise from the feminist camp and from a rededication to maternal values: The protection of offspring and ecology as a science and ideology (Mother Earth, geocentrism and permaculture).

Trends of The 202nd Decade AD

A cure or at least a countermeasure to cancer may emerge in this decade.
Things are becoming clearer even in the first year of the decade, where novel concepts like Arab Spring, Drone War, Wikileaks and Anonomous painted a portrait of a reality that increasingly resembles the quaint musings of science fiction paperback writers.

Who could have predicted the developments of 2011 in detail? Some of the events were predicted on a generic level, even by mainstream papers and magazines. This blogger did some predictions with accuracy, namely the Arab Spring, which I predicted more than five years ago under the name Arab Renaissance.

The fast and largely unchallenged implementation of Predator drones took me by surprise. The enormous impact of Wikileaks and the emergence of a strong, well coordinated yet decentralized resistance/freedom movement called Anonymous likewise.

The death of Osama bin Laden - or alleged assassination - is, in a larger perspective, a non-event, even if the announcement does indicate a minor shift to a new era in geopolitics.

Rush to Safety

One of the most significant developments of the coming decade will be the mainstreaming and gradual implementation of surveillance and home security technology. Everything from cell phones and computers to homes, cars and individuals will go through wave after wave of upgrade, resulting in an end condition resembling the Panopticon.

This movement will seem entirely justified, as society is rushed towards this goal by spontanous or scheduled riots, random vandalism, harrassment and violent assaults. It will be an almost entirely voluntary movement, rather than a top-managed process at odds with public will, comparable to the rapid and vast implementation of information and communication technology in the 201st decade AD.

In similar vein plus words will be comfort, safety, security and everything to do with home, garden and other comfort zones. It's a practical decade, rather than as the previous one dominated by flaring culture wars and rash engagement in large scale military operations.

Strange Wars

We will not, however, be without war. Military conflicts will break out in the most unusual ways and almost erratically, and with novel twists when comes to political alliances, the use of advanced weapons technology and even with regard to military doctrine.

Information war, culture war, psy war, economic war, everything will merge, and give rise to new astonishing technological innovations, many of which will spill over into the civil sphere. It will also be a decade in which we see the rise of new intellectual giants, the return of geniuses and renaissance men, some of which will be embraced with a personality cult we have not been used to in the previous four decades since the emergence of Generation X.

This is linked to a shift in the overall paradigm and a rapid transition towards a new spiritualism. On the positive side this gives rise to social criticism, to counterculture and to idealism, not least with regards to human and civil rights issues that have been grossly neglected if not down right sabotaged and discarded in the previous decade.

Sins of the Fathers

Dealing with the sins of the fathers, which could very well be the title of the decade, will focus intensely on the subject of civil and human rights, and other matters of justice, comparable to the enormous and in many cases sensational health movement of the past decade, most notable in the nearly complete ban on smoking in spite of heavy financial interests and lobbyism from the tobacco industry.

It's a scheduled event, and absolutely necessary. Artist-activists will rise to challenge dogma, traditionalism, male chauvinism, dictatorship and every other conceivable aspect of patriarchate. Women will play an increasingly important part, as leaders as well as mothers.

It will be a difficult time for religious leaders, male politicians and, particularly, the most conservative, traditionalist or autocratic. Business scandals and political scandals will, as always, ensue, but in this decade at a breath-taking pace and often unpredictably and to comical effect.

It is not a good age for dictators and hegemonic powers, which will be shaken over and over. These powers will act out, sometimes desperately and in extreme manners, which will only reveal them as hollow and increase the rate with which the old world order crumbles.

On the downside the Third Wave Feminism can develop occasional extreme positions and views, mirroring the gender oppression of the patriarchate of the past. The era also gives rise to new forms of tribalism, nationalism and racial identity, and subsequently to the darker side of "the blood", racism.

Celebrity Power Dips

The superficiality of the modern civilization, the Babylonian aspect if you will, the mind control of Hollywood and MTV, the cult of personality and the enormous dependency on visualization and stereotypical aesthetics, is a part of a mega-trend encompassing all foreseeable future of mankind. It is a millennial aspect, and it is going to become as pervasive as the cult of Puritanism during the Christian era in Europe.

But this decade will shift the focus a bit, diminishing the influence of many idols. The reality shows and talent shows will subtly shift in the direction of more "useful" messages, such as health makeovers and more focus on group dynamics and psychological development. This part of the entertainment industry will seek to regain ground by becoming "serious" or, at least, a little more mature.

The entertainment industry has taken some pretty big hits from the financial crisis and, before that, digital piracy. It will recover in this decade; the dip will mostly affect celebrities as power-brokers and not the general profits of big movie and big music. The problem will be handed over to the health care industry, where big pharma is going to hit some major obstacles.

Stern Matriarchate

The sign opposite to a Pluto transit will bloom, following the logic that whatever death is furthest removed from will experience its summer. The sign of Cancer is represented by a crab, but associated with Hera, the consort to Zeus, as she sent it upon Hercules to distract him during his battle with the hydra. She was motivated by jealousy, since Hercules was Zeus' illegitimate son, a "crime" for which she also struck Hercules with homicidal rage, destroying his first family.
While globalization and, to some extent, globalism will be diminished and rolled back to a bare minimum, environmentalism and Mother Earth sentiments will flourish.

Another paradox is that the onslaught on the "white male patriarchate" will prove astonishingly conservative in other ways. The decade is best for monogamy and family values, cherishing motherhood and condemning infidelity. Female leaders will surprise with their reactionary attitudes, and on the ground many women will succumb to harrassment, jealousy and petty vengeance.

The new feminism will not have a discernable impact on the amount of war, but it is a part of a general and ongoing de-militarization of human society, if you can view it on a longer perspective. More encouragingly, sex trafficking and sexual abuse and sexual harrassment will become increasingly less tolerated and clamped down upon, as women emerge as a definite source of power.

The decade will give some gruesome examples of racially motivated hate crime, small scale terrorism and gang related violence. Almost everybody will become involved in some form of trolling or systematic campaigning against some enemy, real or perceived, and the insidiousness of such scheming will frequently gain media attention for invasion of privacy or harrassment.

Solidity counts

Overall, it will be a slow-burning decade, eventful enough on occasion but often felt as dreary or difficult to navigate or make progress from, almost as if caught in quicksand or struggling to find advantages in a burned down territory. It is not beneficial to opportunists and social climbers and gold diggers.

More headway will be found for scientists, researchers and innovative thinkers, a trend that grows over the decade only to culminate in around 2025. We are witnessing the rise of technocracy with all it entails, even elitism and transhumanism and, as a result, the crueller, less humane aspects of rationalism.

We already see hints of this new macro-management regime of demographics, statistics and utilitarian ethics in the way terms like "collateral damage" have been implemented and mainstreamed in the political language. Modernity, industrialization and development has its price, which is to be paid by farmers, gypsies, native tribes, whoever are deprived of a voice in the new world order - and the populations of the world are being prepared to accept this modern form of "human sacrifice" as an unavoidable evil.

Supranational failures

In spite of scientific breakthroughs, which are about to burst the dam, the general sickness and the number of people with chronical ailments will rise in the West to a point, where the discrepancy between the government's responsiblity, the number of treatable ailments and the cost of keeping people alive and well become overwhelming.

Along with the nearly total collapse of archaic systems of authority and traditionalism, subcultures and sexual deviations will explode. The collapse also spreads to academic authority and the concept of established knowledge, a trend tied to the emergence of new superstitions and super-cults.

Earth shattering events will be embodied by arcane horrors like the hydra, the typhoon and the chimera. The world will not develop sufficient levels of responsiveness; in fact, supranatural institutions will fail miserably in this decade.

Integrating Asia

On the positive side the mainstreaming of LGBT rights we witnessed parallel to the culture war of the past decade will encompass South Asians in the decade to come. Islam will, to a large degree, self-moderate and spawn new and more acceptable manners of social organization and expression, and by the end Muslims will finally see themselves accepted as worthy contributors to society.

Of course, there will always be naysayers and racists and culture warriors on both sides. But the overall conjuncture should also benefit Arab film makers, as well as other artists and art forms from outside the Western hemisphere. Bollywood, Asian film and African film may undergo revivals and gain broader audiences, and new musical influences other than rap and Anglo-Saxon pagan rock should begin to emerge.

From Big Brother to Big Sister

Development issues, construction and reconstruction, maintenance of infrastructure and all matters relating to health, scientific studies and social prudence are in focus, even to the extent of becoming more important to the public than celebrity issues.

Sport, exercise and physical aesthetics, which boomed in the 80s along with the general yuppie culture, also experience a minor revival. Martial arts, which have had a dead period, will also be revitalized, and new blood sports will stimulate a jaded audience.

Overall, you could say that the decade constitutes a shift from a Big Brother state to a Nanny State, a more amiable version of the same all-seeing eye. The Draconian measures persist with a makeover and sweeter rhetoric, but the matriarch will prove just as stern as the patriarch.

One of the strangest and most daring predictions I make is the power of the real estate industry. It seems counter-intuitive at the point, but one must remember that in spite of two consecutive IT bubbles, the information age is still a reality, and information technology a drive of progress.

Another peculiar prediction is a broad tendency to decentralization. On a tangible level, more people will work from home. On a wider scale an urban exodus will begin to take place in many parts of the world. Nations will become more protectionistic and isolationism will ensue.

On the internet small forums and networks will replace larger ones, providing more intimacy, comfort and safety.

The Four Horsemen: Four Global Ideologies

Just as in the case of Revelation 13, which I analyzed in this video, Revelation 5 must be understood from the perspective outlined in the previous chapter.

The key to Revelation 13 is the understanding that "the dragon", the first dragon-like creature portrayed, is "Satan" who is cast down from heaven in chapter 12, as there is a war in heaven.

In the language of arcane mysticism the "war in heaven" refers to a specific set of planetary positions, an astrological conflict, most likely an "astrological cross" involving Mercury in direct opposition to Pluto.
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
From this it becomes obvious that we are talking about a radical change in the political composition on Earth, seen reflected by the mystic (John) in the aspects formed by the planetary movements.

Heralding The Age of Pisces

The arch-angel Michael is associated with Mercury, and Mercury (Hermes, Gr.) is the messenger of the gods, and associated with commerce, communication, athletics (indicative of speed, but also relating to ancient forms of communication as illustrated in the legend of the runner at Marathon).

The verses show how Mercury and his angels (a conjunction with larger, more "powerful" celestial bodies") displaces "the dragon" (Pluto), casting him out into the earth, along with his "angels."

Virtually every prophesy in the New Testament relates narrowly to the astrological age it was heralding, the Age of Pisces in which Christian virtue is distributed to the entire world population in one form or the other.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child
The woman in the desert is Israel, who "gave birth" to Jesus. Mary and Joseph's exile in Egypt is seen, here, as a parable of the fate of Israel: To be persecuted, and to be sent into exile, as it occurred with the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
This clearly indicates that the dragon, Satan, is seen embodied in the Roman Empire, which persecuted the Jews (or at least they felt injured by the Roman occupation, even if it is clearly stated all over the Old Testament that the numerous cases of foreign administration and exile are actually Yahweh's punishment for non-compliance to the pact between Yahweh and Israel).

The Roman Empire then turns against "the remnants of her seed, which keep the commandments of God" - the Christians who were, in the early stages mostly of Jewish origin (at least until Paul's reformation, where he confronted the 12 Apostles, who opposed the integration of Gentile Christian communities. This took place about 17 years after Paul's vision on the road to Damascus).

The Horsemen Ride Out on Public Request

In the previous entry, shaped as a video, I pointed out that modern day Europe and modern day USA are "the Beast" and the dragon-like beast with "two horns like a lamb" in Revelation 13.

As provocative as this may be to those who are European or American, there is nothing odious in it: In the Bible every nation is described as a beast, a creature driven by self-interest and self-preservation, with the capacity for unbridled aggression.

This is also the underlying esoteric thought behind one of the main works of political science, Hobbes' Leviathan, with the title directly referring to another Biblical "beast", primarily referred to in the Book of Job and thought to represent an empire of the age and, subsequently, imperial power as a principle.

This should bring us up to speed with the events depicted in Revelation 5-6.

First, it is important to notice that the time-space continuum is warped in such prophesies. There is a level of inaccuracy, and the visions are blurry, and their concepts fuzzy.
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders.
The four living creatures are symbolic representations of the people of the Earth, with the number four representing each of the four corners of the Earth. There is more to the symbolism of the four living creatures, but what is important here is that each of the four horsemen are summonned by the four creatures.

Revelation 6:1:
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
The White Horseman: Christian Liberalism
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
The White Horseman is, by some considered Christ himself. According to the Wikipedia:
Irenaeus, an influential Christian theologian of the 2nd century, was among the first to interpret this horseman as Christ himself, his white horse representing the successful spread of the gospel. Various scholars have since supported this theory, citing the later appearance, in Revelation 19, of Christ mounted on a white horse, appearing as The Word of God,
There is some truth to the interpretation, because the White Horseman is associated with Jesus, but interpreting the White Horseman as supremely good whereas the other three are supremely evil is illogical bordering on the insane.

The first incarnation of the White Horseman, the first physical representative of the spiritual principle, is Emperor Constantine the Great, who in 313 - after a mock conversion to Christianity - exploited the growing cult with a tale that he had seen the sign of Christ in the sky ahead of an important battle against a political ally in pagan Rome, then having power divided between three governers.

In the Edict of Milan he describes a new condition of religious tolerance in which Christians are free from persecution by the state, effectively making Christianity state religion, even if it was not formally so at that point.

The White Horseman represents the principle of armed Christianity, Christendom or Christenhood, and as such the relatively succesful conquest and subduction of three continents (Europe, America and Australia). By extention the White Horseman also represents, today, The West, governed by some arbitrary mix of Greco-Roman liberalism infused with Protestantic Christendom.

Ever since the crusades it has been the primary mode of existence for The West to combine Evangelism with military conquest, and along with conquest, theft: Theft of land, theft of ressources and even theft of people (slavery). Other cultures have done so, occasionally, but never as the consistent and primary mode of existence, and never as succesfully.

From the Crusades over Colonialism and Imperialism the Christian West has, more than anything, showed enormous capacity for conquest, and so far their efforts have been crowned with almost supernatural success. Like the other horsemen The White Horseman is neither good nor evil. He is a principle, a cultural phenomenon, and an ideology.

The White Horseman rode West, and is today strongest represented in USA, combining a liberal agenda and vital aspects of Roman administration with a strong Christian Right influence in Washington.

The Red Horseman: Communism and Socialism

The principle of socialism is not a new one, as the Three Servile Wars against Rome testifies to. Of  these slave rebellions we only recall the Third Servile War for the sensational crucifixion of Spartacus and thousands of other rebelling slaves along the Via Appia to Rome.

Modern day Socialism was founded by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in the 19th Century Europe.

All four horseman can, in fact, be tied to Europe as products of the cultural and intellectual revolutions of this small, but highly incendiary continent. As I pointed out in Revelation 13 Revealed Europe is responsible for both of the two World Wars we have seen.

As for Socialism, it is represented in the Apocalypse with these verses:

And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Red is the color associated in the political world with Socialism. Even today, after the Cold War, the socialist leaning political blocks in various parliaments across the Earth, are dubbed Red Block.

The main characteristic of the Red Hoseman is that he takes peace away from Earth.

It is not clearly apparent why, but it is a fact that Socialism rose in opposition to Christianity, as a profoundly atheist ideology, and that it responded to what Socialist perceived as inherently oppressive dynamics of Christendom, the ideology represented by the first horse, and its policies of colonialism and imperialism, domestically, and around the world.

The Red Horseman rode East, namely to Russia and China, fermenting cultural revolutions that to this day "takes peace away from Earth". Understanding the agenda of The Black Horseman helps us understand better the nature of the Red Horseman, so let us skip forward one step:

The Black Horseman: Fascism and Nationalism

The principle of fascism is also ancient, rooted in the Latin word fasces, which means a bundle of sticks. The fasces were used as symbols of authority for officials.

The mythology around the fasces originates in a fable in which a father teaches his son that "united we standl" by asking him to break one stick, which is easy, and then to break a bundle of sticks together, which is impossible.

The "strength through unity" principle is the fundamental principle of fascism, which was revived simultanously in Europe in the early part of the 20th century - namely Spain, Italy and Germany - partly to oppose the rise of Socialism, the Red Horseman.

Now we see a dynamic between the horsemen forming: They are each rivals to each other's powers, and the order in which they appear reveals how they respond to each other.

The Black Horseman is represented in the Bible like this:
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
The most famous form of fascism and the dominant form was the Germanic National Socialism, more often called Nazism or Hitlerism. Like Socialism it was preoccupied with economy, as the scales and the price regulations in the prophesy describes.

The Black Horseman is often understood as Famine, but that is not what the prophetic words from the centre of the four "beasts", or world powers, indicate. During a famine money is almost worthless, and hurting oil and wine would make no sense, partly because there would be very little of it, and partly because they would be extremely high priced commodities.

The words relate to the purpose of Fascism as opposed to Socialism, which would diminish luxury goods like oil and wine, while regulating prices for basic food along with the utilitarian agenda. Fascism accepts this purpose, to some extent, incorporating concern for food prince and wage regulation, but opposes the destruction of "oil and wine", which may also be seen as symbols of cultivation and, by extention, class society.

Fascism protected the rich elite. The Black Horseman rode North, staying in Europe, where the market is regulated according to some level of socialist concern for workers, but with a clear preference for the virtues of the upper class.

The Pale Horseman: Zionism and Capitalism

The Pale Horseman has frequently been associated with the rise of Islam, particularly because of the part of the prophesy that grants it power over one fourth of the earth.

However, this interpretation breaks the pattern, since Islam is not a transcending ideology, and it did not originate in Christian Europe. With transcending ideology I mean an ideology to which you can subscribe, even if it does not fit your ethnic origin.

You may argue that you can convert to Islam, regardless of race, but in the case of the other three horsemen the support from the four "beasts" is derived from conceptual agreement. Islam, as such, does not represent a unique political or economic principle.
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Particularly because Muslims today encompass one fifth of the world population it is compelling to see the prophesy as a prophesy about the ascension of an armed and radicalized Islamic world. Lots of energy has been invested in associating the word for "pale" with the color green, traditionally associated with Islam.

However, Islam, even as a quasi-political ideology, does not have power over a fourth or even a fifth of the Earth. Even with its vast masses, the Islamic world is virtually powerless. The power is exercised over it, the power to kill with a variety of means, from warfare over economic oppression to "beasts of the earth" which, in a modern interpretation, would indicate germ warfare.

The regional power to do this is held by Zionism, physically manifested in the "resurrected" Israel. Israel has easily won every military conflict it has been involved in, and even when Israel bombed the Iraqui nuclear installations pre-emptively, it did not trigger any consequences for this regional superpower: Such passivity is hardly what you would expect from a horseman named Death.

Israel as the Fourth Horseman also corresponds to the dynamic pattern between the horsemen - one trigger the next in a Hegelian dynamic of thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

Zionism was invented by Theodor Herzl in the late 19th Century and adopted into policy as a consequence of widespread European and American support for the Jewish cause in the aftermath of the Second World War, a war where Fascism - the Third Horseman - eradicated one third of the global Jewish community.

This was the fulfilment of a terrifying prophesy in Ezekiel stating that one third of Jews would be cut off and scattered about, one third would remain in Israel and one third would be burnt - Holocaust literally means "sacrifice by fire", and the Greek term has overtaken the Hebrew Shoah (calamity).

Born out of a terrible persecution, the culmination of almost 2000 years of European racism against Jews, known as the Nazi Holocaust, rose the fourth of the horsemen, set on securing a homeland for Jews.
It would take place at the price of the effective oppression of not only millions of Palestinians, but the entire Arab-Persian sub-continent through the revival of Cold War dynamics in which Washington and Brussels side with Israel.

Millions have died already, also due to biological warfare, in the proxy war between Iran and Iraq set up by CIA, and in the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, all essentially taking place to defend the Western powers' decision to establish a cultural and stratetic foothold on Arab ground, a reservation for Jews.

This is the secret reason for the "special relationship" between USA and Israel. It is the reason Iran has called USA "the great Satan".

Conclusion

Neither of the horsemen can be said to be good or evil. The chapter describes a course of events and outlines the causality between them. The four horsemen are the rise of four ideologies with global influence, and in internal contest, a contest most likely to be won by White Horseman.

As indicated by the headlines each "horseman" or ideology or principle has a benign and a malignant aspect. Christianity, even in its militant form, can be said to have had a relative civilizing effect when compared to, at least, heathen Rome.

Socialism is, today, embedded in virtually every economy of the world, even including the American. It is moderated from Marxist economics, namely by the Western economist John Maynard Keynes. Communism no longer exists in pure form: The Soviet Union collapsed, and modern China is more of a Confucian one-party state with free market economics than Communist.

While fascism is evidently destructive, some level of nationalism may be required as a balance against other excesses, namely globalism and capitalism.National socialism is essentially what is being practiced by European countries today, with strict immigration policies and feverish attention to both cultural heritage, social cohesiveness, regulation of industry and a functionable welfare system, without the European countries being per definition fascist or extremely close to Hitlerism.

It may be seen as shocking or unreasonable or anti-Semitic to associate capitalism with Jewishness, but the fact of the matter is that Jews are intelligent and industrious, dysproportionally represented in top positions in business and banking in the West, favored no doubt by centuries of sedentary employment or scholarly pursuit under various more or less oppressive regimes. There is nothing ominous about that, except for the tendency to tilt towards Zionism, which may constitutes a direct conflict of interest.

Islam, for as much as it cannot be the Fourth Horseman, may yet be represented in the Apocalypse or elsewhere in the Bible (in fact, it is). The discovery that it is not the Pale Horseman does not mean there can be no threat from Pan-Arabism or militant Islam. It just simply means that in the contest between "beasts" it is the lesser threat.
